We knew absolutely nothing about log home maintenance when we built our log home. It had been four years and we needed to get some work done! While attending a log home restoration workshop in Boone, NC we became acquainted with Erin and were impressed with her knowledge of the process of maintaining and restoring log buildings. After talking with her and signing a contract to get the entire outside of our home refinished the work began. Within two weeks our house was completely restored! We were thrilled with the results. When I hired Erin from Log Home Maintenance she took the time to explain what she would do and why. I believed she would do a good job but I was still in for a big surprise.
She & her team worked on the outside of my log cabin undoing another previous contractor’s mistakes. She had to change her choice of what products to use because she wanted my future upkeep maintenance to be the best of all choices available. She wasn’t just interested in my cabin looking great when she was done she wanted my log cabin to always look great. Using the right product is key to that happening and you want someone extremely knowledgeable about their products. Erin knowledge of her choice of products (what to use and why) is unsurpassed in her industry.
After my log cabin was put through numerous steps to get it back to it’s original bare wood Then it was re-stained and resealed correctly. It looks amazing!
I was so pleased I rehired her to seal the inside walls & ceiling of my cabin. That was also a very large job requiring many different steps, of coating, sanding and staining. The inside walls and ceilings were finished to almost a furniture finish. Now they look great and are very easy to maintain.
I was pleased with the outcome of the inside work,so I hired her once again to seal my two large decks and stain all my railings. Anyone who sees ANY of her work comments about the remarkable outcome.
Her team was punctual each morning and often worked for 12 hours each day. That is unheard of in the NC mountains! Now my cabin is a real showplace! I waited 4 months before I could get on her work schedule but it definitely worth the wait. All my work was performed June/July 2010.

We are more than pleased with the job you and your crew from Log Home Maintenance, Inc. performed. Your work exceeded our expectations and contractual specifications. Our log home now looks like a doll house build by master woodworkers. It glows. You brought out wood tones and grain that we’d never seen in twelve years of living here.
Before you chinking work our home, in places, looked like a Lincoln Log toy that had been left in the rain too many times. Your work smooth out all the gaps and cracks log home develop over the years. We can no longer watch the sunrise through some of the joints, but our home has a much more solid look, inside and out, after your craftsmanship. I imagine we’ll be saving a great deal on heating and cooling.
